Pope Francis has declared today a day for prayer for peace in Syria. He has called the world community to unite in fast and prayer so that the turmoil in the Middle East can be healed. I want peace in this world and I want to do what I can to see that come to “light” in my lifetime. I am embarking on a practice of meditation and prayer. Starting out simply with 10 minutes. Today is my first day. I need help. So I would call out to all of you to assist me and at 11:11 am, I invite you to stop and take a moment and ask in your heart toi God, your higher power, or just put out incredible energy. Ask for peace and love to invade this world and especially Syria today. There is power in unity and there is power in the number 1 especially when it comes together with other 1s.

So no matter our religion or beliefs, let us all come together as one at 11:11 am and pray and meditate for peace and love for Syria and for this world. Together we can make a profound difference. I just know it!
