Never look back unless you are planning to go that way.
~Henry David Thoreau, American author, poet, philosopher, and transcendentalist
If you want to move forward in life, keep your chin up, a smile on your face, and both eyes looking ahead. Given that sunshine could appear at any moment on the road ahead, you really cannot focus your attention on the storms from the past because you just might miss it. Enlarge your vision of the life you want, and face forward, ready to welcome whatever comes. March dutifully toward what inspires you. Come up with a plan that you can get enthusiastic about, and get ready to set it into motion. Set the course with your eyes wide open, and get ready to see your dreams come to fruition. Conjure up your wishes, write them in the sand, and let the sea carry them away. Articulate well where you want to go, what you want to do, and what you need to get you there, and your guides will appear in many shapes and forms. Begin to tell your story of triumph rather than relive past hurts that have already served a purpose. And never look back—that is, of course, unless you want to go through it all again. There is no reason to repeat an experience, especially when there is so much more to discover. So much opportunity lies ahead for you; don’t look back on what you may have missed, or you will surely lose out on today!
