The effects of kindness are not always seen immediately. Sometimes it takes years until your kindness will pay off and is returned to you. And sometimes you never see the fruits of your labors, but they are there, deep inside of the soul of the one you touched.

In a society that demands instant gratification, we may often want to see the fruits of our labor now. When we labor in kindness, however, in reality, we may never know how we have touched another for some time to come. We live our life day by day doing our best, reaching out to assist others, and acting out of a kind and generous heart. If we act purely because we intend to receive in kind, we will be disappointed when our expectations are not immediately met. However, when we plant the seeds of kindness in all that we do, we may never know the true impact that we can have on the life of another. While it could be years from now that we discover how we touched the soul of another, the seeds are planted, and they will grow. Rest assured that kindness pays off in so many ways, big and small. When we think about it, we will be surprised by just how our good deeds affect our world. If we live by the Golden Rule, doing unto others as we would want them to do unto us, and practice kindness as part of our everyday life, then the positive thoughts and energy that we are putting out there in service to kindness will be enough for now and the future.
Magical Key to Bliss: Plant the seeds of kindness, and let that expression of love be your reward.
