“Saying thank you is more than good manners. It is good spirituality.” ~Alfred Painter
Always striving, always doing, always looking for a way to move my life forward- today instead of doing something so that I can get the “golden star” or something similar to that, I am just going to make my intention one of gratitude for all that I am and all the blessings that have come into my life through my connections with so many wonderful people, including all of you. I was contemplating the other day the end of the school year (my kids are finishing up this week) and the beginning of summer (a time of lazy, carefree days to enjoy outdoor activities and sunshine). As adults, we too need to make time for rest and relaxation where we get away from the hectic and busy nature of our lives to just be. Maybe it is the heat that slows us down or maybe it is the memory of our childhood when we had summers to just be, either way it is an opportunity to regroup, reestablish our priorities and stand in gratitude for the blessings in our lives. So if it is the beach that calls to us this summer, or time away with family- let our intention be set on being aware and conscious of all the moments that come our way and thank God for each and every one. If we do this, then our children will see our example and follow suit. Here is to ice cold lemonade and lazy days! Happy Summer, filled with love and creativity everyone!
