“Don’t walk behind me; I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.” ― Albert Camus
I have often thought better to thank God for the friends who have entered the stage that is my life. I have often felt better for the kind gesture of love and companionship that my friends have shared with me. I have often lived better knowing that those friends who have already graced the pages of my story are supporting me, holding me and laughing with me. And, still I wait in anticipation and enthusiasm because I understand better that there are still those friends that I have yet to meet who will guide me and share with me my journey. There is so much we can learn from each other. There is so much that connects us to one another. There is so much that awaits us that will help us to shine brighter. And, there is so much love that can be known better by reaching out and grabbing hold of the extended hand that is attached to that soul who was once a stranger. While we may be on different parts of our journey, when paths cross, there is much to learn from each other, so stand close so that the present moment filled with wisdom will not be missed. Each moment bursting with potential to experience more joy, happiness and most of all loving embraces. And, when the joy and laughter overtakes us, look into the eyes of the other with gratitude, for they have walked besides us and called us friend.
