Everything that has happened in your life up to this very moment, serves a greater purpose. You may not know what that purpose is right here, right now, but rest assured there is one. This is what is promised to each of you, from the beginning of life until your last day on Earth. You get the opportunity each day to live out that purpose and further accomplish what you came here to do.
While doing so, we agree to the social contract of living in a society of laws. Before change can even begin to happen, you have to learn the rules and the reason behind what they stand for. As a free spirit and a creative thinker, I tend to question everything that does not sit well. As a student of life and a lawyer, my formal training provides a knowledge and foundation for roots and reasons behind what we as a whole have chosen to follow. Everything that I have learned up until this very moment is empowering the next. Finding a balance to rid us of the unduly restrictive while bolstering that which will make us a more expressive and freely creative society, is the ultimate goal. One can say that deep in the trenches of life’s boot camp is where the answers will arise and perhaps that is the greater purpose, to craft a society more founded on love and joy, while respect for the other and integrity rule the day. Both the idealistic and the realistic, married together through critical thinking, learning the rules like a pro, so that we all can break them with purpose like an artist. Because like a silly sign posted that prevents joy and makes no sense, sometimes the rules just gotta be broken!
